1. I am Dr Vimal Kalagi, a dedicated general dentist with a periodontal background, originally from the southern part of India. I embarked on my dental journey by earning my undergraduate degree in 2013 and later pursued a postgraduate degree in Periodontology in 2017. In 2019, I made the exciting move to Canada and settled in Toronto, where I worked diligently to obtain my NDEB licensing, achieving this milestone in May 2023. During my time in Toronto, I had the privilege of serving the community for nearly a year before recently relocating to Vancouver. I am deeply passionate about dentistry and find great joy in helping patients overcome pain and restore their smiles. I am actively involved with organisations like "Filling the Gap" in Toronto, where I volunteer my skills to improve access to dental care for underserved populations. Outside of dentistry, I cherish my time outdoors. You'll often find me riding my bike through Vancouver's scenic trails, kayaking in its beautiful waters, and indulging in skiing and surfing adventures in Tofino. Above all, I value spending quality time with friends and family, soaking in life's simple pleasures. I look forward to continuing my journey of patient care and community service here in Vancouver.

I have nearly 3 years of hands-on experience in general dentistry and periodontal care, having served patients in both Toronto and India I am passionate about delivering high-quality dental care that not only addresses patient needs but also restores confidence and comfort. My dedication extends beyond clinical practice, as I actively contribute to community initiatives such as "Filling the Gap," volunteering to improve access to dental services. Outside of dentistry, I thrive on outdoor activities, including biking, kayaking, skiing, and surfing. These experiences complement my commitment to a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
